From Overworked to healthy balance: client story
When I dreamt about my coaching business, I always thought I would work with yogis passionate about pursuing a healthy balance…
But then I met Michelle, and she was at the very opposite point to that.
Besides, I loved coaching her and the transformational journey she went through.
She is a busy PHD professional on her 30s who just got engaged with her fiancé.
She worked really hard to achieve her life as it is now, starting from scratch without support at 19. Due to that pressure, she got used to working for herself and tends to forget to do things she enjoys.
Self care seemed a luxury, as well as making more time with her fiancé and friends…

She used to feel busy and like swept away by everything she had to do and feel like she could not achieve a healthy living.

She didn’t know how to balance out her work with her personal needs, and would like to give herself more time to enjoy. Improve her quality of life.
- She felt overworked and exhausted all the time.
- She also noticed her fiancé had become a bit distant, they only talked about bills. She couldn’t be present. She was always preoccupied and couldn’t disconnect from her obligations.
- She also needed time for herself but felt too busy and drained to do it.
- It was hard for her to choose what to do because time was so precious to her. It felt like she needed to decide between her needs and being with her fiancé.
- She felt overwhelmed , hopeless and burnout . She worried that her relationship and health would suffer if she didn’t start finding more balance in life
- She knew it was down to her to change her habits and priorities, owning her choices in her free time. But she couldn’t do it on her own.
- She bought equipment of all sorts to keep healthy but she didn’t enjoy it nor prioritise it
- She tried journaling and meditating but she wasn’t consistent due to tiredness and lack of alignment
- She also kept trying setting time aside for herself, but it did not work fully
- They also tried setting rules to spend quality time, but stress would affect her mood and they would keep pushing back the down time…
Then she came to work with me!!
Here is, in a nutshell, what we did:
1. Exploring how she was feeling and why (finding the root- cause of her problems)
2. Working on her belief system to create a strong foundation to support her
3. Declutter and prioritise her task list
4. Build sustainable habits at her pace
5. Acknowledge progress and the room for improvement
6. Adapting to changes and making it fun!
And the best was seeing results in less than 2 months of transformation!!
